7. Public Profile URL
In the Public Profile Settings, you can choose what you want to show when people end up on your public profile page. Public means visible to everyone, members of LinkedIn, non-members of LinkedIn, connections and non-connections in LinkedIn can see this public profile.Set your Public Profile URL so that you can easily remember it. I prefer real names, but I also see company names. People like to do business with other people. If they search for your name, your profile will be visible in the search engines.
You can also create a profile button to promote the profile in the sidebar of your website.
8. Summary
The Summary is displayed directly below the general information by default. Here you have a lot of space to tell people more about what you do business. Write from the point of view of your target audience.
9. Skills and expertise
Add your most important skills that are interesting to your target audience. These are also the keywords you want to write articles about in your hub.
This is a good place for the keywords which you want to be found in the search engines. Note that this part of the LinkedIn profile will get you in the search engines, but it helps you to find the most important keywords.
You can add skills yourself, and people you are connected with can also add skills. The latter can then be approved first before they appear in your profile. You can also remove skills again.
10. Experience
If you list an experience, write what you did with this assignment. What were your responsibilities and tasks. What does that mean for your target. What you have learned that you use for your taget nowadays.
New is that you can now add media to every work experience. This way you can add images, video and presentations.
You can not upload files but use links to the location of the media. This way you use the link from YouTube to show a video. Or use the link to Slideshare for a presentation you have made.
11. Training
Add the training that can be important for your ideal target.
For example, a first-aid diploma can be important if you work in an area where this is an addition to your expertise for the assignment.
12. Contact Information
Make sure people can contact you. Especially the people who are already connected to you on LinkedIn.
LinkedIn is dynamic. The owner of this 'business card' keeps their information on LinkedIn well.

13. Number of connections
You need at least 50 connections for a personal profile. Previously you also needed 3 recommendations.
